The Beauty of James Bond Movie Titles (Song Included)
By: Schnyger
The James Bond series is known for many things: action, women, danger, martinis, Aston Martins, the list goes on. These are all things the audience comes to expect. But what makes the Bond legacy so great is its variety and willingness to reinvent itself. Between the various actors playing the title role to the directors who have helmed the films, there have been many different takes on the set up of one agent saving the world. Sometimes the series is tongue in cheek, sometimes its deathly serious, and more often than not, it falls somewhere in between. The stylistic variety is also present in the very titles of the films.
The great thing about the film series is that each movie gets its own unique title (most of which have been taken from Ian Flemming's novels and short stories). Some titles are basic (Goldeneye), some are a little over the top (From Russia with Love), and some are just a little dumb (I'm looking at you Octopussy). Its always exciting to see what the next movie is going to be called (especially considering they are out of Flemming titles). But rather than get hung up on that, I decided to reflect on the titles we have already been given.
Considering the wide variety of titles there are, I took it upon myself to form them into one cohesive song. Now I'm using the word cohesive very loosely here, but below is a song that contains ever Bond movie title (at least phonetically speaking). I hope you enjoy on some weird level....
