First Transformers: The Dark of the Moon Trailer is Out!
By: Schnyger

It looks like Christmas has come early (unless you hate Transformers...or are Jewish). The first teaser trailer for the third (and for this set up movies, the final) Transformers movie. Directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Speilburg, The Dark of the Moon features most of the previous cast, substituting Megan Fox for another pretty face that has yet to prove herself as an actress. Also added are Patrick Dempsey and John Malkovich.
The real question on my mind is simply this: has Michael Bay swallowed his ego and listened to the criticisms of the previous films. While the first movie was met with a good amount of praise, the second was seen as a step back in almost every area except the action (and it was way too long). Personally, I didn't hate the second film, but the humor was not funny, many of the characters were pointless, and the whole Prime heaven thing was just plain impossible to take seriously.
Michael Bay has a tendency to be completely full of himself which makes me have doubts for serious improvement. On a positive note, Bay did mention that he was toning down the humor. That's one step forward. Now if only he could cut down the length by about 30 minutes. I'm assuming its too late to change the subtitle. That's a shame. Maybe Dark of the Moon will grow on me. Maybe transformers are among us.
P.S. I do think the trailer itself is fairly entertaining, but trailers are like myspace pictures; You may think you're looking at an attractive 25 year old female when in fact its a 15 year old, gender confused boy.
